Pleased To Meet You!
I’m Daniel Zhukov, and I’m running for Greenwood Village City Council in District 3 — not to overturn what’s working, but to help strengthen and enhance the great work our city has already accomplished. My goal is to bring fresh ideas, thoughtful questions, and a new generation’s perspective to the dais, while working alongside residents, staff, and fellow council-members to keep Greenwood Village a leader in Colorado.
I’m a first-generation American, lifelong Coloradan, and a proud product of the local Belleview Elementary, Campus Middle, and Cherry Creek High School, graduating in 2020… yes, the year of Zoom gym classes, masked graduations, and talking while “on mute.” Greenwood Village has been my home for nearly all my life, and I want to help it remain one of the most exceptional communities in the state for all families who choose to call this city home.
After nearly six years in corporate aviation — and earning two FAA certificates to fly small piston aircraft along the way — I chose to shift my career focus and pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science through Arizona State University Online, all while balancing full-time and part-time work.
I bring a strong background in executive customer service management, aviation compliance, and working within state government. One of my most formative roles was as an intern with the Colorado Department of State, where I worked across divisions to ensure public-facing documents were accessible to voters, business owners, and individuals of all abilities. I also collaborated on efficiency-improvement projects and trained colleagues on compliance with ADA regulations and document accessibility standards.
I believe effective governance comes from collaboration, transparency, and a willingness to listen. I’m committed to preserving our values, supporting public safety, maintaining and improving infrastructure, promoting responsible sustainability, and fostering opportunities for every resident to succeed.
I deeply respect the work of past and current city leaders, and I’m ready to build on that foundation. It’s time to give the next generation a voice at the table — one that values our traditions while helping to guide Greenwood Village toward a strong and vibrant future.
