Pleased To Meet You!
I’m Daniel Zhukov, and I’m running for Greenwood Village City Council in District 3. My simple goal is not to fix what is not broken, but to help strengthen and enhance the great work our city has already accomplished. My vision is to bring fresh ideas, thoughtful questions, transparency, and a new generation’s unbiased perspective to the dais, while working alongside all residents, city staff, and fellow council-members to keep Greenwood Village a leading place to live in Colorado.
I’m a first-generation American, lifelong Coloradan, and a proud product of the local Belleview Elementary, Campus Middle, and Cherry Creek High School. Greenwood Village has been my home for nearly all my life, and I want to help it remain one of the most exceptional communities with the best services in the state for all families who choose to call this city home.
My experience spans from nearly a decade working in corporate aviation where i’ve earned two FAA certifications to operate small piston-engine aircraft along the way. I have an academic background in Political Science, and real-world experiences working in white collar and blue collar industries.
I bring a strong background in executive client management, aviation and legal compliance, and constituent work within the state government. One of my most formative roles was within the Colorado Department of State, where I worked across divisions to ensure public-facing documents were accessible to Colorado voters, business owners, and individuals with disabilities. I also collaborated on efficiency-improvement projects and trained colleagues on compliance with ADA regulations and digital accessibility standards.
I believe effective governance comes from collaboration, transparency, and a willingness to listen to every resident. I’m committed to preserving our values, supporting public safety, maintaining and improving infrastructure, promoting sustainability, welcoming reasonable development, and fostering opportunities for every resident to succeed not matter what age or demographic.
I deeply respect the work of city leaders who came before me, and I’m ready to build on that foundation. It’s time to take the next step on preserving our values and traditions while helping to guide Greenwood Village toward a strong and vibrant future.
